Aerodactyl appeared in 1996 video game called Pokémon Red & Green. Aerodactyl is a Fossil Pokémon. In its own time, this ancient Pokémon was master of the skies. The fangs that line its jaws are like the teeth of a saw, and it uses them to grip and tear at opponents.
Aerodactyl is from the prehistoric age and because of this its name and physical characteristics are based on that of a pterodactyl. This Pokémon was restored from a piece of fossilized amber.
