Ajarakan appeared in 2025 videogame called Monster Hunter Wilds. Ajarakan is a Fanged Beast first introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Ajarakan is a large Fanged Beast that resembles a Mandrill monkey and a baboon/gorilla hybrid in stance and appearance. Its body is covered in jagged, golden-green scales, with streaks of bright blue and red running across its face, chest, back and arms. Its forelimbs are larger and more muscular than its hindlimbs, much like most primate-like Fanged Beasts. However, Ajarakan's fingers do not have claws like the other primate Fanged Beasts, instead possessing flat fingernails, as well as thick gripping pads on the fingers and toes.
Two rows of short crests emerge from its head, which also boasts a bright blue nose and a maw of sharp teeth. The protrusions on its back, shaped like billowing flames stand over the rest of its body, giving the beast a distinctive silhouette. Finally, its tail is long and thin, but culminates in a mass of rough, jagged spines.
Ajarakan is an aggressive monster that is quick to challenge other monsters such as Rompopolo in fights using its brute strength in battle to grapple opponents with, while also hurling chunks of burning rocks from the ground at hunters as projectiles. It is a strong, fast and agile monster like Rajang, as well as a great climber as seen when it climbs onto metal pipes and volcanic ledges with ease, and leaping from said structures to attack opponents from above.
Ajarakan can ignite its metallic shell and armor with its tail, causing it to glow bright red with intense heat, increasing its attacks with fiery punches, it can even create waves and bursts of magma on the ground to attack with. If threatened enough, they can unleash an ultimate attack, they first spin in place to release explosive dust, then launch themselves into the air and then dive into their opponent to create a large fiery impact. They can be seen operating in pairs against threats, however this does little against versatile apex predators such as Nu Udra.
