Albertosaurus appeared in the 2006 documentary TV series called Prehistoric Park. Albertosaurus was an earlier cousin of Tyrannosaurus. Although smaller than the T. Rex, this tyrannosaurid dinosaur lived a few million years earlier than Tyrannosaurus and was a carnivore as well.
Albertosaurus was up to 30-33 ft. (10 m.) from head to toe, stood about 9-11 ft. (3 m.) tall at the hips, and weigh as much as 3 tons. Albertosaurus had a long tail that provided the required balance and it even aided the dinosaur while turning. Albertosaurus preyed on Parasaurolophus and brought them down by hunting in cooperative packs. However, it had a rivalry with the giant crocodilian Deinosuchus, which was considered to be a top predator of that time period.
