Ariane Glenys Maple appeared in the 2022 TV series called Skeleton Knight in Another World. Ariane Glenys Maple (アリアン・グレニス・メープル, Arian Gurenisu Mēpuru) later renamed as Ariane Glenys Lalatoya (アリアン・グレニス・ララトイア, Arian Gurenisu Raratoia), is the main female protagonist and deuteragonist in the "Skeleton Knight in Another World" series.
She is a Dark Elf who intended to seek out and liberate her fellow Elves who are captured and enslaved by humans due to the second prince Dakares Ciciay Karlon Rhoden Vetran broke the treaty between humans and Elves.
Ariane is a beautiful woman with golden eyes, flawless light purple almost amethyst hue skin tone, long slender legs that ended at well-formed hips, and ample chest. Her waist-long snow-white hair is usually tied back in a ponytail. Being a Dark Elf, she looks younger than her actual age, but her elongated pointed ears are shorter than those of the other elves.
She usually carries a silver sword and wears maroon-colored corset-style leather armor with a matching-colored skirt and stocking, usually accompanied with a dark-colored cloak.
Her father, Dylan, is an Elf and an elder Elf Raratoia. Her mother, Glenys, is Dark Elf and may quietly be the best swordsmen in the Elven nation. Her sister, Evin, is considered one of the strongest soldiers in Maple. It seems likely all of these have factored into her being a proud soldier of Maple.
Ariane is serious and dedicated to freeing her enslaved brethren at all costs. But she is also short-tempered and tends to brazenly rush in without thinking about a plan or knowing full well of a certain situation, putting herself and her allies in danger (such was the case when she meets Arc for the first time, alongside with which her brazen attempt to save the children herself ended up only to have one of the captors use a captive elven girl as a shield until Arc showed up). Due to the humans who enslave elves, she has developed a hatred for them but after meeting Arc she arrives at the conclusion that not all humans are bad as well having no qualms on killing them as she permitted Sena and Uhna to kill Tryton du Diento.
Despite this Ariane proves herself kind, compassionate, and very loyal to her friends and doesn't accept any insult toward them: when Lalatoia came to the rescue of Doran village and the elder insults Chiyome, Ariane became enraged until her father calms her down. Through the story, Ariane develops a close bond with Arc as she proclaims herself "his guardian" to keep an eye on him. It is highly implied she sees him as more than an ally. She becomes very jealous when Arc is close with other women, she is also quite possessive of him like when Hanzo offers Arc to work for the Jinshin clan. Even the almighty Arc cannot withstand the sharp glare of Ariane. Throughout their adventures Ariane learns to know more about Arc to the point where she can easily guess what he is thinking despite his helmet and skeleton appearance.
When drinking, Ariane is shown to not hold her liquor all that well.
