The Beast appeared in 1996 Goosebumps literature called The Beast from the East. The Beasts are 8 ft. bear-faced creatures with blue fur, a long-snout, a primate-like body, and a beaver-like tail. They live in a strange forest and spend their time playing a deadly game of tag, in which the loser is eaten. It is also apparent that the better a Beast is at playing the game, the more abilities they are able to perform. Beasts are honor bound by the rules of the game.
