The Boneless Mackerel Pike appeared in 2009 manga called Toriko. The Boneless Mackerel Pike is a little fish that lacks any bones in its body, much like a mollusk. It's fattier than a typical saury and there's nothing like a good char-grilled saury to make one crave a cold beer.
It was served in a stand called "Babaria Shop Pike" in Gourmet Town. Upon spotting the stand, both Toriko and Komatsu bought themselves plates of Boneless Mackerel Pike which they greatly enjoyed.
