The Boomerang Jackal appeared in 1984 TV series called Kagaku Sentai Dynaman. Boomerang Jackal (ブーメランジャッカル Būmeranjakkaru, 48) is a Mechaevolution Beast of the Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire, combining attributes of a boomerang and a jackal. Boomerang Jackal was created to support General Kar's troops in finding and taking the Retro Genes from the mine where Dr. Tooyama had hidden them in the past to prevent the Jashinka from reaching them prior. After the Dynaman assist with their mentor Yumeno (who is revealed to be Tooyama after hiding his true self from the failures he caused creating the Retro Genes in the first place), they end up playing Boomerang Jackal and a troop of Tail Soldiers in a game of football in regards to keeping the genetic material from the enemy. Once worn out, the Dynaman give Boomerang Jackal the container before destroying both with New Super Dynamite, with the known intention of destroying all of the Retro Genes to prevent the Jashinka from getting them. After growing with the Big Bang Beam, the Dynaman use Dyna Boomerang to stun Boomerang Jackal for a Lightning Gravity Fall.
