The Chako Bird appeared in 2011 TV series called Toriko. The Chako Bird is an elusive creature rumored to be half-dragon and half-bird. Chako Birds have a high capture level because they're so rarely seen.
It is large bird beast 3 meters in length and is around the same size as a large human like Yosaku. It has green leaf-like feathers and two wood-like horns, but its most notable trait is its dragon-like appearance, having bird-like wings but the overall shape of a dragon, such as its long tail, long neck and dragon-like head. It has a somewhat canine-like nose and mug.
Its horns sprout one leaf every five years. Since a Chako Bird's leaves are believed to cure any ailment, they're the medicinal herb of choice in treating the critically wounded.
A Chako Bird first appeared under the care of the saiseiya Yosaku where it appeared to be in an ill condition and had wounded wings.
