The Crocodile Shark appeared in 2011 TV series called Toriko. The Crocodile Shark (鰐鮫 (わにざめ) Wanizame) is an extremely large fish beast with the body of a Shark and the head of a Crocodile. It is at the tip of the food chain in the Swamp of Antiquity. It has a capture level of 27.
It is an enormous fish beast weighing over 27 tons and is 43 meters in length that easily dwarfs the other species in its habitat. As its name suggests, it has a crocodilian head but with the body of a shark. Its body is rather wrinkly and scaly and its fins are a bit grotesque in shape. Its teeth are also notably large and sharp, easily allowing it to devour any prey.
It is a merciless predator that will lunge towards its prey and bite down on it with full force, especially if its prey has its own prey in its clutches. Being at the top of the Swamp of Antiquity's food chain makes all the creatures within its potential prey.
Its meat is superb, and can be eaten raw.
When Komatsu and Sunny are traversing through Regal Island after getting separated from Toriko, Rin, and Terry Cloth, they come across the Swamp of Antiquity, where they witness many of the swamp's beasts try to eat one another: a Mad Dragon is eaten by a Swamp Moray Eel, which is eaten by an Eight-Headed Snail (or a Snake Leech in anime) which is eaten by the king of the marsh, the Crocodile Shark. The sight leaves Komatsu quite horrified and Sunny indifferent.
Powers and Abilities[]
This giant fish can pop open its jaws a full 180 degrees. Its bite has the same force as an alligator's, meaning most prey is doomed once it has been nabbed. The Crocodile Shark's Capture Level makes it the top of the food chain in the prehistoric marsh.
