Lago Granute appeared in 2025 TV series called Kamen Rider Gavv. Lago Granute (グラニュート・ ラゴー, Ragō Guranyūto) is a hyena-themed monster and a former Stomach Inc. part-timer who was responsible for the abduction of Sae Karakida, Hanto Karakida's mother. Currently, he works as a wagashi maker under the alias Kenji Saito (斎藤 健二, Saitō Kenji).
In the past, Lago ran a snack business in the Granute World, but ended up closing it and falling in with Stomach Inc. Lago abducted humans for Stomach Inc. as a part-timer and among his victims was Hanto Karakida's mother Sae Karakida. At some point, after receiving his human disguise, he was taken in by Hiroto Ando's late father and started to work as a Wagashi artisan. He has seemingly reformed from his Dark Snacks addiction and grown close to the Ando household.
With business of their shop having decreased, the Andos sought out the help of Hapipare to revitalize. With Shoma's suggestion to make their sweets animal-themed, Kenji joined them on their trip to the zoo. However they were attacked by Jiip Stomach and Lizel Jaldak, the latter firing a blast and puts Hiroto in danger. Kenji rushes in to protect him but in the process was forced to his identity as Granute Lago. Having realized that Hanto is the son of the woman he abducted long ago, Kenji agrees to an amicable conversation as he returns Hiroto back home.
Lago deeply regrets his actions as an employee of Stomach Inc., and is willing to lay down his life to make amends to Hanto. He begs Hanto to hold off on killing him until after the animal snacks are finished, and leaves a note to Hiroto and his mother to explain his impending disappearance. Having come to understand that "Kenji" the human is important to Hiroto, Hanto intentionally misses, declaring Lago's Granute self dead. Kenji returns to the shop, and the animal snacks are a great success. However, soon after, while closing up shop, Kenji is then confronted and killed by Glotta Stomach as punishment for abandoning his post at Stomach inc.
Kenji is a hard-working man and paid close attention to ingredients while the owner Reina Ando and her son Hiroto talked to Hapipare. Kenji revealed to Hanto that his loyalty to the shop is by extension his loyalty to its late co-owner, Reina's husband, who took in Kenji at a time where he was lost in life after having committed an "unforgivable act." The "unforgivable act" was later revealed to have been his status as a Granute part-timer, having kidnapped people for Stomach Inc, including Hanto's mother Sae many years ago. Despite this and having been confronted by Hanto, Kenji was willing to have an amicable conversation regarding his past deeds.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Human Disguise: Due to being modified by Stomach, Lago can adopt a human form by inserting a Mimic Key into his gavv. He is able to return to his original form by removing the Mimic Key.
