Looter appeared in 1966 Marvel Comics called Amazing Spider-Man.
A meteor fell to earth in an unnamed region and was found by Norton G. Fester. He believed the meteor would have contained microscopic living matter which would solve the riddle of the universe. Unfortunately, when he went to some scientists to help him in his funding, he found that they are more interested in finding new formulas for hair tonic and they told him to try a bank. Similarly the bank wasn't interested and he resolved to find out the secrets by just chipping away at the meteor. Suddenly a gas was released from the meteor and Norton Fester gained incredible strength.
Deciding on a life of crime, Fester became the Looter. He was actually a very successful thief, until he got worried when the meteor he had ran out of gas. He tried to steal one from a science museum, hoping it had another gas pocket, but was thwarted by Spider-Man. After making a narrow escape, he tried again, but was caught once again by Spider-Man.
Powers and Abilities[]
The Looter received superhuman abilities from the meteor he discovered. The gases from the meteor provided him superhuman strength, agility and leaping ability;
- Superhuman Strength: Looter's possesses superhuman strength enabling him to lift great weights under optimum conditions.
- Superhuman Stamina: Looter's musculature produces considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of an ordinary human.
- Superhuman Durability: Looter is far more resistant to physical injury and trauma than an ordinary human. He is capable of withstanding great impact forces and high caliber bullets without sustaining injury.
Arsenal[]
He used paraphernalia that originally belonged to other super villains;
- Unicorn's Power Horn: gave him the ability to create force fields for a variety of effects.
- Ringer's Rings; which could freeze other objects as well as strangle, stab, increase strength, explode and hover.
- Stilt-Man's Battlesuit: elongated, super-strong limbs.
- Mauler Armor: which provided limited invulnerability, super-strength, and flight as well as a powerful laser cannon.
- Shocker's Vibro-Shock Gauntlets: gave him the ability to shoot powerful blasts of vibrations.
- Paste-Gun: gave him the ability to fire a stream of glue which dried instantly and could adhere to any surface.
