Whiteout appeared in the 1989 comic book called Uncanny X-Men. Little is known about the past of the being known as Whiteout. It is possible that she has resided in the Savage Land for some time, and it was there that she was recruited by the Mutant known as Zaladane to join her forces of Savage Land Mutates.
In her only known mission for Zaladane, Whiteout and the other Savage Land Mutates attacked the X-Men in Chile during their search for Polaris. The X-Men defeated the Savage Land Mutates in battle, without Whiteout presumably fleeing.
Whiteout later appeared as a member of Superia's Femizons.
